Baltimore International College offers two bachelor's degrees in hospitality, the Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management, and the Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management with a Marketing Concentration. Both degrees give students a solid foundation in the hospitality and culinary industries, as well as the fundamentals of running and managing a business.
Upon completion of either degree, students will be prepared to start careers working in hotels and resorts, bed and breakfast operations, tourism, restaurants, catering and banquet services, or institutional foodservices. The bachelor's degrees offer specialized courses that give students a competitive edge in the industry, with a variety of choices for the Hospitality Management degree and marketing options for the Hospitality Management degree with a Marketing Concentration. The Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management at Baltimore International College is a four-year, eight-semester program that prepares students for successful managerial careers within the fast-paced and ever-evolving hospitality industry.
The curriculum focuses on management of hotels and resorts, bed and breakfast operations, restaurants, tourism and institutional foodservices. Students starting after Fall 2007 are required to study for five weeks at the Virginia Park campus in Ireland, which is included in tuition. If a student is unable to study at BIC's Ireland campus, that student must submit in writing to the Director of Culinary Arts Instruction that studying in Ireland would be a hardship. If a true hardship is determined, then that student will be placed into a five-week practicum in the local Baltimore area.
